Self-Adhesive label
Self-adhesive label also known as pressure sensitive label is a small piece of paper
with adhesive, designed to be affixed to any surface. It comprises of 3 layers or
components; a release liner, a layer of adhesive and the face material. The labels are
printed and die cut using blades to meet the shape of its end substrate. Also, known as
stickers in layman’s terms.
Types of labels:
- Bar code labels: Any label which has an information encoded as a bar code.
Silver metallic labels : Labels which are filmic or paper based which give a glossy/
matt metallic finish - PP White/ PE White labels: Ideal for PP/ PE substrates respectively.
Shelf-strip labels: Lining the front end of the store shelves, these strips provide product
information, as well as communicates simple brand messages though running logos.
Clear/ Transparent labels: Ideal for see-through packaging such as juice bottles,
handwashes, where a higher visibility of product is essential - Tamper evident labels: Tamper evident labels are often used as package seals. Because they are
